Magnum Trailer & Equipment, an Abbotsford based manufacturer and service company of commercial transport trailers is seeking to fill the newly created position of Payroll Clerk. Under the general direction of the Controller, the Payroll Clerk will assume responsibility for all aspects of the payroll function. The successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years of payroll/accounting experience, be an organized self-starter and an excellent communicator with a great attitude. You have exceptional attention to detail and accuracy and are a quick learner that enjoys multitasking. Other qualifications include, payroll processing using ADP, intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and experience with Visual ERP is a definite asset. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES · Processing the bi-weekly payroll for approximately 150 employees using ADP · Review daily time cards to ensure accuracy and ensure that proper approval is obtained from the appropriate manager or supervisor · Reconciliation of banked hours · Maintaining employee records · Preparation of final pay and ROE paperwork · General ledger and payroll report reconciliations · Employee Benefit reconciliation and administration · Maintain employee anniversary and birthday database · Workers Compensation claims submission, follow-up and review. Disputing questionable claims as required. · Payroll reporting as required · Establish, maintain and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with internal and external parties. · Perform other general payroll or accounting duties as assigned by the Accountant and Controller.
