Speech Language Pathologist
QUESNEL & DISTRICT CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTRE SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST Quesnel is located at the confluence of the Quesnel and Fraser Rivers in the historic North Cariboos gold rush country. The Quesnel and District Child Development Centre is recruiting a Speech Language Pathologist for its Early Intervention Team. The successful candidate will work with children from birth to school age. DUTIES: With the cooperative direction and dialogue of the Executive Director, the Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating Speech & Language services at the Child Development Centre. Providing diagnostic and rehabilitation services to children 0  5 years old with speech and language needs and providing direction and support for the childrens parents and non-speech therapy staff at the Child Development Centre. QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING: http://www.caslpa.ca/english/index.asp · Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA). · Eligible for membership in the BC Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (BCASLPA). · A masters degree in communication disorders. · Relates effectively to parents and children. · Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. · Physically able to carry out the duties of the program.
